                                                                                Annual Progress and Activity Report

 

Honourable Members, dignitaries and distinguished guests, I welcome you all  to 3rd  AGBM of RSVS. I would like to present the Annual Progress and Activity Report of RSVS as our performance of events, achievements and accounts etc. during the year 2016-17.

 As all of you are aware that this organisation was formed on 19thJanuary 2014 by the efforts of retired as well as the serving officers and employees belonging to the SC,ST,OBC & Minorities communities. This organisation is run by collective leadership and has set an objective to achieve a significant constitutional goal of 'One Man - One Value'.

Friends, Shri K C Pippal (IES Retd) is the founder National President and Shri Chaman Lal (IPS Retd) is National Patron of this organisation. Our present National Executive Committee (NEC) was elected on 09.10.2016 for the year 2016-17 and functioned under the President-ship of Col RL Ram (Retd). Dear friends, this is for your information that  the strength of life membership was 70 until last AGBM which has now raised to 85. However, the ordinary members and participants in our organisation are presently more than 500.

We have conducted around 25 Meetings including 8 meetings of newly raised “BAHUJAN EKTA MANCH” in coordination with AMODE and other associated organisations. Special functions and seminars were also organised, details of which is given as under:

One Day cadre camp was organised on 12 Dec 2016 at the lecture hall of Indian Law Instititute, Opp: Supreme Court, N. Delhi, which was arranged by Sh KKL Gautam, Advocate, Gen Secretary of RSVS and conducted by Manyavar K C Pippal. A total of 39 members attended this cadre camp.

 3rd Foundation Day of RSVS was celebrated on 22Jan 2017 at VK Krishna Menon Bhavan auditorium, Bhagwan Das Road, N. Delhi. A seminar on “State Funded Election is Key to Annihilate Corruption” was also conducted on this day. Mr Justice K G Balakrishnan, Former Chief Justice of India had graced the occasion. There were 8 guest speakers and 200 audiences present for this event.

A meeting was organised at Dalit Prerna Sthal-Noida on 15Mar 2017 to observe birth anniversary of Manyavar Kanshi Ram, in coordination with other organisations of Delhi – NCR. Floral tribute was paid to the great leader of Bahujan movement. Intro-inspection (Atm Manthan) was conducted by the members in attendance, as to the reasons of slowing down of the movement and the ways to regain momentum of the same.

A meeting of organisations supporting “Bahujan Movement” was held on 26Mar 2017 at Chandrashekhar Bhavan, Delhi. Various aspect of strengthening unity of SC, ST, OBC & Minority communities was discussed. After detailed discussion and suggestions from the members a new forum named “Bahujan Ekta Manch” was launched. A steering committee of 16 members was also formed to look into the role, responsibility and the functioning of this forum. Subsequently, a meeting was again called on 01Apr 2017 at the same venue and decided to celebrate birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar on 14Apr 2017 at Sansad Marg, under the banner of “Bahujan Ekta Manch”. Responsibility for arrangement of the same was entrusted to RSVS.

An elaborate arrangement was made to celebrate 126th birth anniversary of Bharatratna Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Abmbedkar on 14Apr 2017. Free lunch and water services for visitors were provided. A booklet titled “Bahujan Sandesh” written on behalf of “Bahujan Ekta Manch” was released by the visiting guest Sh Yashpal Malik, the leader of Hariyana Jat Movement, at this auspicious occasion.

A seminar on “Bahujan India – Need of the Day” was organised on 27Aug 2017 at Constitution Club of India – N. Delhi. The event was managed by RSVS in cooperation with AMODE. On this occasion, three associated members who retired from their respective services were welcomed. Shawls and mementoes were presented to honour them. Dinner for 100 members was also arranged at the end the programme.    

The annual statement of account for the year 2016-17 will be presented separately by Shri Achchhey LaI, the treasurer of RSVS.

     Lastly, we are grateful to all our honourable members for giving us full support and cooperation during the session 2016-17. I am sure; you would continue with the similar support to our NEC for the year 2017-18.
