Hence, Shri Achchhey Lal was nominated as working treasurer for the year 2015-16.

Dear friends, I would like to draw your attention towards our big legal victory in the Supreme Court on 4.12.2015 in case of State of U.P & ORS vs. Sumit Kumar Shukla & ORS, SLP No(s).37849/2013 and I.A.4/2015. In fact, the credit goes to legal team of RSVS under the leadership of Shri K K L Gautam, Advocate and  the legal committee which was constituted to look after the case; Shri P D Bindoria, Shri Achhey Lal & Shri Purshottam Kumar were members from RSVS and Shri R D Nimesh, and Shri M L Bhandari were members from SCEWASTAMB. We would also like to give special thanks to Shri P I Jose (Advocate of Supreme Court) for giving free and full support to our legal case. Actually, this case was very important to save the interest of reservation of eight reserved categories i.e. Khatik, Dhobii, Dhanuk, Balmik and Jatav/Chamar/Dhusia of SCs and Jat, Yadav, Kurmi of OBCs. After winning this case, the status quo in job reservation will be maintained as it was prior to 2013.

Lastly, we are grateful to all our honourable members for giving us full support and cooperation during the session 2015-16. I am sure; you would continue your full support to our newly elected NEC for the year 2016-17.

Thanks.
